The course structure
& what to pack!

Our courses are about people, not about riding or horsemanship. So no previous experience of horses is required. Our horses are calm and very used to meeting new people and we will ensure your safety at all times. Given the physical nature of the training we do require all applicants to have personal accident insurance in place for the duration of the course.

Registration is at 9.30 and the course begins at 10:00. We provide refreshments during the day and lunch is included. The course finishes at 17:00. Please contact us if you have any questions or specific dietary requirements.

The weather in Portugal allows us to run courses for most of the year. If you are joining us in the spring or summer months it’s sensible to pack suncream, fly repellent and comfortable shoes (trainers, no open toed sandals please) as well as sun hats. In autumn or winter a light rainproof coat and boots are recommended.

If you are traveling from outside Portugal we can provide rates for a choice of accommodation in the area ranging from a cosy English style bed and breakfast to a 4* hotel. In addition, we can provide transport to and from the airport and between your accommodation and the venue if required. Car hire is also an option either directly from the airport or locally in Tomar. Lisbon airport is approximately 90 minutes by car or 2 hours by train.

Our courses are inspiring. If by the end of the course you don´t agree then we will give you a full refund.
